Hollis Dunlap Painting Workshop
Figure Painting
3 days Mar 27-29 (Friday-Sunday)
$650
Description
Join us for a 3 day oil painting workshop where we will paint from live models! We will focus on creating a sense of 3D form by using values and lighting, how to measure proportions, edges, and various methods of paint application. We will also experiment with color, paint application, and other elements of more contemporary painting styles to keep things exciting. Additionally, we will study the way that master painters use anatomy, form, and color in order to apply some of their ideas to our own work. Poses will be 6 to 12 hours in length. During the first pose the instructor will paint along with the group to demonstrate how to work through the various stages of the painting process.
Suitable for all levels as long as you have used oil paints.
