Composing a Dreamy and Vibrant Painting
October 20-23, 2025
Monday-Thursday
In this workshop, students create a story-driven surreal painting. They start with live model color sketches, focusing on light, shape, and design. They photograph the model, develop a background, and learn studio painting steps: scene setup, lighting, costume, composition, and background. Natalia demonstrates her direct alla prima painting method using transparent and opaque colors to achieve vibrancy and form.

$450/month in person
send me some examples of your work & your goals . We then set up a plan for you whatβs best for you and your goals. I assign projects and periodically send you a video/demos. You work on your own and we schedule. I check in via email and we have a 20 min Skype session Each week.. . this will work best for are you going different time zones or parents because you can just work when you have time but it is still structured and you get feedback and instruction.

We will be creating a βfinishedβ painting from the beginning. Starting with studies, design go over color theory and composition and stage and costume the model and scene together!! We will also play with achieves diverse textures using different tools and sandpaper! It will be unforgettable!

A weekly fun art class that focuses on drawing and color using basic shapes and gradation.
Sundays at 12 pm PST (1 hour)

The materials needed are paper, pencil, colored pencil (but anything works, I want this to be fun, easy and accessible for all!)
My goal is to give the kids (of all ages) the space and freedom to explore, create and learn the basic techniques to make their dreams pictures come tp life. We will create new and incredible pieces step by step, paying close attention to technique and building our artistic skills while having FUN! This should not feel like work!
